Artist Statement

I found the process of painting the egg to be quite challenging; the greatest challenge being the basic mechanics of painting on a three-dimensional surface. Like most painters, I typically paint on a flat surface. The shape of the egg required me to scrap much of my normal processes and develop new techniques. These challenges led to the greatest reward, solving the problem through the development and execution of new skills.
